Summer Internship Programme
Arranged an internship
programme of six weeks duration from April 15th 2015 to May 31st 2015
at Efftronics Systems Pvt.Ltd, Vijayawada and sent two students Ms.K.Bhagya
Rekha (III MPCS), Ms.Sravya (III MPC).
Faculty Industrial training programme
Dr. G. Little Flower (Physics), Miss. T. Bhagya Lakshmi(Physics) and Mrs. Niraja (Electronics) underwent Faculty Industrial training programme from 15th May, 2017 to 7th June, 2017 at Efftronics Systems Pvt Ltd. and got trained in “Number systems & Conversions, basic programming in C language, Embedded C, Practice on ARM Controller”.

Activity of ‘Inspire Club’ on 04.07.2017
The departments of Physics and Electronics organized
a guest lecture on “Internet of Things and future career possibilities” as an
activity of ‘Inspire Club’ on 04.07.2017 at auditorium between 10 a.m and 12
noon. I, II and III B.Sc Physics and Electronics students participated in it.
Mr.S Bhavani Shankar, Executive manager, R&D department of the Efftronics Systems
Pvt., Ltd., addressed the students. Three hundred students got enlightened by his talk.
Hands on Training on HAM Radio
An educational tour to
Sriharikota on 17.08.2017
The department of Physics, Maris Stella
College had arranged an educational tour to Sriharikota Higher Altitude Range (SHAR),
Andhra Pradesh on 17.08.2017. We visited Mission Control Centre (MCC), first Launch Pad FLP, called IOP –
Integration on pad facilitates where the vertical integration of the stages of
the PSLV and GSLV are assembled, the Second Launch pad (SLP) and Vehicle
Assembly Building (VAB) which then moved in vertical position to the Launch Pad,
working platforms that provide access to the vehicle at various levels and Mobile
Service Tower (MST) that acts as a shelter to the vehicle and personnel during
integration. This educational tour provided additional knowledge to what
students had studied in the course “Mechanics and properties of Matter” during
I semester about variable mass systems, multistage rocket launching techniques,
types of fuels enclosed in various stages of rockets, the need of heat sink
coverage of the rocket, tracking techniques of launched rockets using RADARS. Students
learnt about job opportunities in Indian space programme at Sriharikota.

Students’ skill development training
programme on “Home appliances and their servicing”
The department of Physics
had arranged Students’ skill development training programme on “Home appliances
and their servicing” at the ‘SIEMEN’s Skill Development Centre’ at Andhra
Loyola Institute of Engineering & Technology approved by the Govt. of
AP. Twenty six students of II and III B.Sc MPCS and MPC
underwent a five day training from 30.10.2017 to 3.11.2017 in their
campus.
D.P. Somayaji’s Memorial Physics
Lecture on 4.11.2017
The
department of Physics had arranged 14th D.P. Somayaji’s
Memorial Physics Lecture on 4.11.2017. Sri Anita Sure, senior technology
specialist, Honeywell technology solutions Pvt.Ltd. addressed the students on
the topic “Lighting, Displays & Sensors-Applications and career
opportunities in Industry. Two
fifty students from I II and III B.Sc MPC and MPCS students and thirty external
members associated with Sri D.P. Somayaji association attended this memorial talk.
Students’
training programme on “MATLAB”
The
department of Physics and Electronics had arranged two days students’ training
programme on “MATLAB” organized by ECE department of Andhra Loyola Institute of
Engineering & Tecnology. Thirty two students of II and III B.Sc MPCS and
MECS underwent two days training from 15.11.2017 to 16.11.2017 in their campus.
